Personalized Soap Container

We're heading to a 40th birthday this afternoon, and I really didn't want to show up with nothing.

Enter a soap container and vinyl from the cricut machine.

Cost $2.99. (I love it!)

And it took only moments to make. Really!

By using vinyl on the cricut machine, I was able to put the letter inside the soap container and move it to the correct place with the pump. How easy is that?!?

A Use for the Parquet Flooring

I can cut straight!

I guess I can stop dreaming about new hardwood flooring! (Just kidding...I'll never give up the fantasy of rich, dark floors! Sigh.)

This is what I was attempting to make:

A blanket with bubble material on one side and solid on the other. It turned out really well. (Especially since my measuring was perfect and the cutting was so straight!)

Apparently it was a hit with a birthday girl! Yes!

My kids declared this the BEST after school snack!

And it's so simple!

First Day

To be honest, I never really thought this day would come. Both girls in school. All day. I was so proud of them! They both have great teachers and friends in their class. Really, what else can I ask for?

I kept myself busy making by making blackberry jam and thinking of all the projects that I want to complete this year!
